The Škoda Kodiaq RS is not just a spacious and practical SUV. Emil Lindholm, the 2022 Rally 2 champion, shows that this car has many other strengths as well. Beyond the power under the bonnet, Emil appreciates the comfort, design, and other features of the vehicle. What impressed him the most? That's what he is about to show you in a short clip.
RS models represent the top of the Škoda lineup. They traditionally feature the most powerful engines, a wealth of equipment, and a range of chassis modifications that push them towards a sportier character compared to standard models. At the same time, they do not compromise on everyday usability and practicality. The Škoda Kodiaq RS is proof of that.
Power under the bonnet
"I'm a rally driver, so I want a powerful engine under the bonnet. That's why the first thing I love about this car is its performance," says Emil Lindholm. The new Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine delivering 265 horsepower. "And you can feel it," Emil adds with a smile. He praises the power unit not only for its sheer output but also for its agility. "Even at low and mid-range revs, there's plenty of power, making overtaking a breeze," he highlights the engine´s characteristics.
This praise is also due to the high torque of 400 Nm. Combined with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the Kodiaq RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Its top speed reaches 231 km/h.

A well-tuned chassis
"The Kodiaq RS is agile and leans nicely on the rear axle when exiting corners," Emil praises. According to him, the Kodiaq responds well and precisely to steering inputs without showing signs of understeer. "And the shock absorbers, with their wide range of adjustments, keep the car stable," he says, referring to the standard DCC+ chassis with dual-valve technology, which ensures an exceptionally fast and versatile response to different driving conditions.
The car’s agility is further enhanced by the standard progressive steering, while the sporty three-spoke steering wheel makes driving even more enjoyable. Emil also highlights the larger brakes compared to the standard versions.

Premium Comfort
Despite the car's sporty driving characteristics, thanks to the previously mentioned DCC+ chassis, Emil also praises its comfort. It starts with the sports seats featuring integrated headrests and an excellent driving position. He also notices a small but important detail that contributes to a quiet cabin: "These side windows are acoustically insulated," he points out while tapping on the glass.

A Spacious interior
Of course, Emil doesn’t forget one of the Kodiaq’s key selling points: interior space. The Kodiaq RS is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations. In the five-seater, the boot offers a generous 910 litres of capacity, while the seven-seater, with the third row folded down, still provides an impressive 845 litres of cargo space. And with all seats in use, it offers a solid 340 litres of storage area.

A great first impression
The Kodiaq RS also stands out with its design. "The traditional combination of black RS elements and the sharper lines of the front bumper look fantastic and dynamic," Emil notes. The car has well-balanced proportions and elegant lines, complemented by beautiful sporty details. The Kodiaq RS comes standard with 20-inch polished wheels in a black and silver colour combination. The sporty appeal continues on the inside, where the predominantly black interior is enhanced with red stitching brightening element.
"These were the five things I love about the Kodiaq RS. But I'm sure you'll discover many more. With this car, it’s easy," Emil Lindholm concludes his introduction of Škoda’s sporty SUV.
