Rally Estonia has prepared another spectacular and thrilling battles, which brought the crews in the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 and Rally2 evo four podium places in the WRC2 and WRC3 categories. Already on the first day, the spectators were able to watch two Norwegian drivers duel for the overall first place in WRC2, Andreas Mikkelsen (ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo) and Mads Østberg (Citröen C3 Rally2). The gap between the crews was initially just a few seconds, but Østberg's puncture on the sixth stage played into the hands of Mikkelsen, who then held on to the first place until the end of the rally and scored the necessary points to retain the overall lead in the WRC2 category. “I would like to thank Toksport and ŠKODA for the fantastic car they provided to me and I am happy, that I could repay them with the victory the whole team deserves. The rally was very rough and we had to be smart and control to stay away from troubles”, emphasized Mikkelsen at the finish line. Meanwhile, the second crew of the Toksport WRT team, Marco Bulacia and Marcel Der Ohannesian, were fighting for third place, which they lost early on the final day due to a short exit from the track. However, with flawless driving in the final stages, they recovered the lost time and took the final third place in the WRC2 category.

The WRC3 category was dominated from the outset by 2020 European Champion Alexey Lukyanuk and co-driver Yaroslav Fedorov, who were competing in the World Rally Championship (WRC) for the very first time in a ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo. The crew of Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Maciej Szczepaniak scored points for second place, which reduced the gap to the WRC3 overall leader, while seven other crews finished in the top ten in this category. "I'm very proud of our customer crews, who took the first nine places in WRC3 at Rally Estonia,” commented Michal Hrabánek, Head of ŠKODA Motorsport.
