Rally Italia Sardegna did not disappoint. Even in the later October term, it offered real summer weather, difficult gravel tracks and incredible views of racing cars crashing in clouds of dust along the sea shore.
In both main categories of the Rally2 group, drivers with ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 cars fought wonderful battles for first places. Pontus Tidemand dominated the WRC2 category, and although long-time leader Oliver Solberg did not win the WRC3 category in the end, he was immediately replaced by Kajetan Kajetanowicz, who was only seconds from first place and eventually finished second.
