The historic Targo Florio, one of the oldest motorsport events in the world, celebrated its 100th running last weekend in Sicily. The event was a tarmac rally which took place over 15 stages and around 150 km in competitive distance.
For ŠKODA, there was another podium place for Umberto Scandola/Guido D’Amore who finished third overall. The two legs also represented stand-alone rounds of Italian Rally Championship and the Italian duo finished fourth on leg one and third on leg two. Speaking afterwards, Scandola implied that he had been too cautious in his approach to the event, but the result still leaves him third overall in the championship standings.
