Last weekend saw the fifth round of the Italian Rally Championship taking place with the Rally San Marino. This 11 stage, 121km long, gravel rally took place in and around the independent microstate and saw a number of ŠKODA Fabia R5s taking their place on the start line.
It was the Italian duo of Umberto Scandola and co-driver Guido D’Amore, driving for the Car Racing Team, who impressed most, as they coped well with the hot and slippery conditions to push hard throughout and secure third place overall, and win more vital championship points from finishing third in Leg 1 and second in the Leg 2.
