The Tour de Corse is the 11th round of the FIA World Rally Championship 2016 and there is a number of teams looking to take on the 10 stages and 391km of competitive distance, which make up this famous rally, in a ŠKODA FABIA R5 cars.
Along with the official ŠKODA Motorsport team of Jan Kopecký / Pavel Dresler, Team Oreca’s Teemu Suninen / Mikko Markkula, who currently sit second in the WRC2 standings, are taking part at the Tour de Corse, but they are not registered for the WRC2 competition and cannot score any world championship points this time.
Recently crowned French tarmac rally champions Sylvain Michel / Jérôme Degout are competing for Equipe de France FFSA but with the car prepared and run by 2C Compétition team, which runs also the car of another French crew Julien Maurin / Gilles Thimonier.
