The Wales Rally GB, more than 330km long gravel event with 22 special stages, is the penultimate round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) 2016.
For ŠKODA Motorsport, there are three FABIA R5s taking part, with Esapekka Lappi / Janne Ferm joining the Czech pairing of Jan Kopecký / Pavel Dresler in pushing for the WRC2 Championship title. Pontus Tidemand / Jonas Andersson are officially competing for the ŠKODA Motorsport II team, but after a second-place finish in the last round at the RallyRACC Catalunya – Costa Daurada, it is expected, that they will be in the mix as well.
