The FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) returns this weekend with the Rally Hokkaido taking place in northern Japan. ŠKODA has won this event in each of the last three years.
It was Pontus Tidemand / Emil Axelsson, who won last year, and in 2014 Jan Kopecký / Pavel Dresler finished on top of the podium. Meanwhile, back in 2013, Indian driver Gaurav Gill claimed his only previous win here alongside his regular Australian co-driver Glenn Macneall. Gill is back this year, driving ŠKODA FABIA R5 of ŠKODA MRF team, but with Belgian Stéphane Prévot by his side. He has won all APRC rallies this season so far and is looking to extend that run of form.
But he will also face stiff competition from the talented young German driver Fabian Kreim and his co-driver Frank Christian. They are well placed to secure the German Rally Championship (DRM) this season and with two runner-up spots so far in the APRC they are looking to go one better.
