The Sibiu Rally, which took place last weekend, marked the second round of the Romanian Rally Championship. Dan Gîrtofan alongside his co-driver Tudor Mârza were competing for the ŠKODA Romania Motorsport team and looking to build on a runner-up finish in the Brasov Rally, the opening round of the season.
And it proved to be a hugely successful event as Gîrtofan and Mârza controlled the rally from the first stage to the last to claim victory by a margin of 1 minute and 11 seconds. Their success was the first for ŠKODA Fabia R5 in Romania.
