Umberto Scandola and Guido D’Amore continued their excellent run at the Rally Adriatico last weekend with their fourth consecutive victory in a ŠKODA car at this rally for the ŠKODA Italia Motorsport team.
After a hat-trick of wins at this gravel event in a ŠKODA Fabia S2000, this was their first attempt in a ŠKODA Fabia R5 and they led from start to finish, winning seven of the twelve stages along the way, to finish sixteen seconds ahead of their nearest rivals. It was their first victory of the season in the Italian Rally Championship and leaves them lying in second place in the championship rankings at the half-way point of the season.
