Andreas Mikkelsen / Anders Jæger in the ŠKODA FABIA R5 led from start to finish to win the WRC2 category at the Rallye Monte Carlo, the season opener of the FIA World Rally Championship 2017.
Under extremely difficult conditions the 27-year-old Mikkelsen moved straight into the lead on Thursday evening, then extended his lead with outstanding best times in the special stages through the next three days and was able to celebrate a dominant win, 3:25.4 minutes ahead of his ŠKODA Motorsport team-mates Jan Kopecký / Pavel Dresler.
